The Netherlands – Today, Monday 15th of August, the Airborne Memorial Service launches its own website. The site provides information for those who would like to attend the remembrance service in Oosterbeek, which takes place for the 78th time this year. Visit airbornememorialservice.nl/en.
“During the Covid19 Pandemic it became clear to us, as Organising Committee on behalf of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces Charity (PRAFC), we needed our own website to communicate. We were too dependent on others. By launching this website with current and background information, we are able to share information directly with those interested.”
Own way to communicate
The website is launched in a Dutch and English version. The Polish version will be released soon. “The website is designed and build by webdeveloper Luuk van de Scheur, who combined the identities of both the Airborne Region Foundation and the PRAFC to an excellent result with pictures of the event taken by Arjan Vrieze, Berry de Reus and Henk van Loenen. We are grateful to them and those who contributed by writing, translating and editing the texts and testing and reviewing the website. Finally we would like to thank the Municipality of Renkum for contributing to this project.”
