Oosterbeek, The Netherlands – The heavy rain and the unexpected cold did not stop many people from attending the 78th Airborne Commemoration at the cemetery last Sunday, September 18.
The flower children were also present in large numbers. Applause wasn’t only for them this year. Arnhem veteran Geoff Roberts was accompanied by a round of applause (including military personnel) until he stopped in front of the large cross to lay his wreath.
