At the opening of the Horsa Glider exposition in Oosterbeek The Netherlands ,Gliderpilots Frank Ashleigh and Ron Johnson shared their story about flying a Horsa Glider. Geoff Roberts (KOSB) who was a passenger in September 1944.
Training and flying
Frank tells about the training the pilots had and Ron about that particular day in September. Geoff Roberts remembers how it felt as a passenger but all three, were excited to get into war.
The Hors Glider will stay in Oosterbeek till the 26th of September and can be seen between 09:00 and 17:00. See the map below for directions
