Veterans impressed by the 'new' Airborne museum at Oosterbeek

Oosterbeek, The Netherlands - A few British veterans from the Second World War, among them two Arnhem veterans, finally came Saturday the 26th to see the renovation of the Airborne Museum Hartenstein. When they were in The Netherlands in March 2020 for the official re-opening of the museum, the whole country went in lockdown due to corona and they had to go back to England.
Since then, they haven't been able to get to The Netherlands but thanks to the Taxi Charity for Militair Veterans from London, who organised this trip for them, they finally, after two years, could see the renovation and all it's changes by themselves. A visit to the Airborne cemetery wasn't forgotten either. They held their own ceremony as this was also just too long ago.
Dutch Filmcrew The Veluwezoom In Beeld was present, made the report (with subtitels) seen above and held interviews with veteran Geoff Roberts, who was part of the Kings Own Scottish Borderers in september 1944 and Ronnie Weijers, director of the Airborne museum.
